Nordic Pirates

We made something special. We will not have a better offer than this one.

Lying Pirates is a bluffing dice game about lying to the people you like most, then racing their ships into the rocks. Pick your box below and we will put something in it that we do not normally give away.

In case you forgot

Liar's dice, but everyone is racing a ship

Every player hides dice under a bamboo cup. Everybody lies about what is under there. The difference here is that lying well moves your ship, and being caught leaves you bobbing in the water while your friends sail past.

It teaches in about five minutes. It stops being that simple around game three, when you work out that the quiet one at the table has been reading you the whole time.

The full Lying Pirates set laid out on a table: board, bamboo cups, ships, cards, coins and the box
Everything in the box, on one table.

Quick to learn

How to play

Three phases per round. Here is each one, moving.

01 Betting phase

Bluff your crew

Roll your crew dice hidden under the bamboo cup, then bluff on totals. Raise the stakes, lock a number, or call someone a liar, at exactly the right moment.

02 Sail phase

Move the fleet

The round winner rolls the sail die and advances ships 1 to 2 tiles. Battle dice decide naval combat. Tile events keep every move unpredictable.

03 Action phase

Play your hand

Deploy Gold or Silver cards to attack rivals, defend your position, or upgrade your crew. Every card changes the board.

I absolutely love this game! Especially at 6 players. Lots of laughs and fun every time we play. I've yet to play it with someone who hasn't had a great time.

Nordic Pirates did a great job: the game is really funny together with friends and has many nice tools like metal coins, bamboo cups and 3D printed ships! Strongly suggested!

Having a great time playing this one. Quality production throughout. It captures the tavern feel perfectly.

Bazmondo123, United Kingdom 9 / 10

Pirate theme, easy to learn, easy to teach and bring to the table, even with non boardgamers. The artwork is 10/10, AMAZING.

The offer

Pick your box. We will load the hold.

Same price as always. We have simply put something in there that is not normally part of the deal.

Choose one

Kraken stock is low. When it runs out this choice becomes the gold, and we will say so here.

Which edition should we ship

One thing before you go further. The English Base Game ships from our stock in the US and Australia, so we cannot send that edition inside Europe at the moment. The BIG BOX in English is here and ready, and it comes with both gifts. Or pick another edition and keep your code either way.

Why this is not a sale

We do not mark our games down

Our price is our price. Nordic Pirates has never run a discount on Lying Pirates and we are not about to start, because a game that goes on sale every few weeks was never worth the first price.

What we can do is put something extra in the box for somebody who took the time to look twice. You are not getting a cheaper game. You are getting a fuller one. That is the whole offer, and it is the best one we have.

Last step

Tell us where to send the code

One field. The code lands on this screen and in your inbox at the same time, and the button next to it drops the game and the gift straight into your cart together.

Your email gets you the code. New crew join our list at the same time, we write when there is something worth writing about, and you can step off any time you like. How we handle your details.

We cannot ship that edition to you

The English Base Game sits in our US and Australian stock, so it does not leave our European warehouse right now. We are not going to take your money for something that will not arrive. Your code still works on the BIG BOX in English, or on another edition.

Your code, no strings

You stepped off the crew list a while back and we have left it that way. The code works all the same.
